Targus AKF003: The 141-Gram Split That Folds Like Origami

Ergonomic foldable, almost no mass. The lightest serious foldable in the 2026 travel-keyboard pile — and the only one that is actually split.

If the category is “keyboards that fold in half,” the Targus AKF003 is the one that also admits your wrists exist. It is a genuine split ergonomic layout that still packs down to almost nothing — about 141 grams, which is less than a lot of dongles-and-cables pouches.

This is not a numpad flex. There is no hard case theater. It is the board you throw in a jacket because wrist pain on the road is a real tax, and a full Alice or split mechanical is not making the flight. Pair it with a tablet, a Steam Deck docked to a hotel TV, or a work laptop that has a keyboard you hate.

Tradeoffs are honest: you give up the “full office” look of the ProtoArc, and you will not impress anyone who wanted RGB. You will impress your tendons. That is the InteliToys beat — cool when cool also means you can still type at 6 p.m.

InteliToys is editorial. We do not sell Targus AKF003. Watch the source tape in the branded lightbox below, then argue about it in Gear Junkies.
