Plaud NotePin S: The AI Command Mic You Wear on Purpose

The AI microphone category split in two. One side is ambient life-logging — Bee, Limitless, anything that wants to hear your whole day. The other side is a command mic: you decide the session, you press the thing, you get a transcript and a mind map. Plaud’s NotePin S is the second kind, and that is why gear junkies actually keep wearing it.
The S refresh is the wearable version of the original Plaud Note slab. Pin, necklace, or wrist. Roughly a workday of continuous recording. Transcription in a ridiculous number of languages, speaker labels, and the Plaud desktop/app workflow that turns a standup into action items instead of a 40-minute audio file you will never replay.
Compared with the Limitless Pendant, Plaud is worse at “remember my whole Tuesday” and better at “this 1:1 matters.” Compared with a Shure on a boom arm, it is worse at podcast tone and better at walking out of a conference hall with the hallway conversation still in your pocket.
Privacy is the product. A command mic you start and stop is a different social contract than a bracelet that is always listening.
