Bee's argument is that the best AI is the kind you forget you are wearing. Its new Frontier device clips to clothing or rides on the wrist, listens to the conversations of the day and hands back clear takeaways, searchable summaries and suggested to-dos.
At $74.99, Frontier undercuts most of the AI-pendant field, and Bee claims seven days of battery life, which removes the nightly-charging chore that dogs many wearables. Over time the service builds a timeline of conversations, places and takeaways and learns the wearer's patterns and relationships. Several of those deeper features, including drafting emails and calendar events from to-dos, require a Bee Pro subscription.
A second product, Eclipse, is listed as coming soon. Rather than a wearable, it is described as ambient AI that processes both sides of phone calls as well as in-person conversations.
Privacy is the obvious question for any always-listening gadget. Bee says conversations stay private by default and uses encryption, a claim worth testing as the category grows. Frontier is sold through Amazon via Bee's site.
