Even Realities Adds Tortoiseshell Brown 2 Colorway to G2 Smart Glasses
New brown frame uses layered material shaped and polished for 20 hours per pair; sun clips and neck chain debut alongsid. All three items went on sale worldwide through evenrealities. com the same day.

Even Realities rolled out a tortoiseshell-style colorway for its G2 smart glasses on Monday, pairing the new Brown 2 frame with two first-time accessories: Polarized Sun Clips and a stainless-steel Chain. All three items went on sale worldwide through evenrealities.com the same day.
Brown 2 is built from a material the company developed specifically to carry the layered tortoiseshell pattern through the full thickness of the frame rather than sitting on its surface. Each pair is shaped, pressed, tumbled and polished for 20 hours, a process that leaves subtle variations from one frame to the next. Even Realities says Brown 2 is the lightest G2 design it has shipped, while keeping the camera-free, display-first setup that puts live translation, notifications and a teleprompter in the wearer's field of view.
The company framed the release as a bid to make smart glasses read as ordinary eyewear. "For smart glasses to become part of everyday life, they need to feel like eyewear first, not technology," said Will Wang, Founder and CEO of Even Realities. "The best technology fits naturally into your life, and that starts with designing glasses people genuinely want to wear."
Traditional tortoiseshell frames are typically cut from acetate, a material prized for warmth and depth but vulnerable to heat and humidity. Even Realities said it engineered a replacement that holds the visual richness of tortoiseshell while preserving the internal precision, balance and display clarity the G2 requires. Brown 2 ships in both the Frame A and Frame B styles.
The Polarized Sun Clips target outdoor use, with Silver Gray lenses that cut glare from roads, water and other reflective surfaces and block 100 percent of UVA and UVB rays. They fit both frame styles. The Chain, made from sandblasted gunmetal-finish stainless steel, lets wearers hang the glasses around the neck between uses.
U.S. pricing is posted on the Even Realities site, along with international pricing and regional availability. The Shenzhen-based company builds AI-powered smart glasses around what it describes as a human-first, privacy-first approach, with the G2 as its flagship product.
