Home Assistant has added the Everything Presence sensor range from UK-based Everything Smart Home to its Works with Home Assistant program. The certified lineup covers three models — the Lite, the One, and the Pro — and according to Home Assistant, all three were tested by its in-house team for local control, privacy, and sustainability.

Everything Smart Home was founded by Lewis Barclay and his father Dave Barclay. Home Assistant says Lewis started the Everything Smart Home YouTube channel in 2020, became one of the first members of the Home Assistant Creator Network in 2022, and launched the Everything Smart Technology shop that same year with Dave, an electrical engineer. The company says the Everything Presence range grew out of Lewis wanting to build devices he would use in his own home, with features he could not find elsewhere.

All three sensors run ESPHome, which Home Assistant says lets them talk to Home Assistant directly over a home network with no cloud connection required. Each carries the Made for ESPHome badge, which Home Assistant describes as a guarantee that the device runs ESPHome out of the box, can be fully controlled without opening the case or soldering anything, and has its code made available for all to see. Home Assistant also points to the company's GitHub as a collective project where users suggest fixes and add features.

Home Assistant says most motion sensors rely on passive infrared alone, so they assume you have left if you sit still long enough. Each Everything Presence sensor instead uses millimeter-wave radar, which picks up movements as small as breathing, and the One and Pro pair that radar with PIR for an instant response when you walk in. The company says that means lights that stay on while you read, heating that only warms the rooms you are in, and screens that switch off when you have wandered away — the kind of input AI home automations use to decide what a room needs. All three also double as Bluetooth proxies, extending Home Assistant's Bluetooth range around the home.

The three certified devices differ in scope. Home Assistant lists the Everything Presence Lite as a more affordable mmWave sensor that tracks up to three people across four zones you set up yourself. The One combines mmWave presence, PIR motion, temperature, humidity, and light sensing in a single ESPHome device. The Pro is described as a professional-grade sensor with two mmWave radars — long-range static and multi-target tracking — plus PIR motion and light sensing, and it pairs 802.3af Power over Ethernet with Ethernet so a single cable carries both power and data. Home Assistant says that lets installers mount the Pro in a ceiling like a Wi-Fi access point or security camera, with no Wi-Fi dropouts or power outlet to worry about.

Home Assistant says the certified devices were tested over a standard Wi-Fi connection, and the certification agreement requires the devices to operate locally without the need for cloud and to continue doing so long-term. The company adds that a Home Assistant Link subscription can show which rooms are occupied or whether the heating is still on in an empty house from wherever you are, and that every subscription directly funds the Open Home Foundation, the non-profit behind Home Assistant, ESPHome, and the program.
