Home Assistant built its reputation with people who like to tinker. Home Assistant Green is designed for everyone else.
Setup is just a power adapter and an Ethernet cable, both included. The mobile or web app walks the owner through the rest, and the system begins finding smart devices on the network automatically. Internet access is needed only for the initial setup.
Green comes from Nabu Casa, which designs official Home Assistant hardware and, sends most of its profits to the Open Home Foundation, supporting Home Assistant and ESPHome.
It replaces the older Yellow hub, which is no longer in production but still gets software updates.
