KEYI Tech made its name with Loona, the expressive pet robot. Its new DeskMate takes a cleverer approach: instead of building a new brain, it borrows the one in your pocket.
An iPhone snaps on with Qi2 magnets, charges at 15W and sits at a good viewing angle. From there, DeskMate acts as what the company calls your AI intern, aware of what you are working on and connected to your apps without constant prompting.
The base includes a 165W GaN power supply, so it doubles as a desk charger.
For anyone who wants a physical AI assistant without paying for a dedicated device, DeskMate is a fresh twist on the category.
