MINISFORUM says it brought its AI Agent NAS and Mini Workstation lineup to AMD AI Developer Day 2026 in Shanghai, where the company says AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su predicted 5 billion daily AI users by 2030 and called 2026 a turning point from generative AI toward AGI. MINISFORUM says its MS-S1 MAX Mini Workstation, which it describes as powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, received Su's signature on site, and the company frames that as recognition of its role in AMD's AI Agent ecosystem.

On the NAS side, MINISFORUM says the N5 MAX AI Agent NAS pairs 64GB of quad-channel memory with dual 10GbE ports and room for five hard drives plus five SSDs. The company says the unit supports the Qwen3.6-35B model with peak generation above 70 tokens per second, and that it handles concurrent multi-agent AI tasks while maintaining more than 20 tokens per second per user in a four-user setup. MINISFORUM positions that as cost-effective local AI deployment rather than a cloud subscription.

The company says the N5 MAX runs MinisCloud OS and integrates local large models with agent tooling, letting organizations run AI agents on premises for work such as semantic image search, document and code automation, and email, schedule, and data report management. MINISFORUM says the setup is built around data sovereignty, with the AI workloads staying inside the organization's own systems.

MINISFORUM also describes the MS-S1 MAX as carrying a 512GB high-bandwidth unified memory pool and running the 671B-parameter DeepSeek model, with four nodes clustered together over high-speed interconnects. The company says that four-node cluster, when running the 671B Q4 model, reduces volume by more than 50 percent, cuts total power consumption by more than 80 percent, and lowers overall cost by over 77 percent compared with a 5U RTX 5090 GPU server, which it says makes the cluster a fit for offices and laboratories.

Beyond the hardware, MINISFORUM says its Agent infrastructure is aimed at multi-agent networks that automate workflows across departments, and it cites an education deployment of a 12-node MS-S1 MAX cluster plus six mini AI Agent hosts that it says lets universities teach large-model AI locally. The company says it was founded in 2018 and now serves more than 4 million users across more than 100 countries with Agent NAS, AI Mini Workstations, AI Mini PCs, and AtomMan Mini Gaming PCs.
