Plaud Opens Its Recordings to ChatGPT and Claude With One-Click Connectors and an MCP Server
The AI note-taking brand says its meeting transcripts can now be pulled into ChatGPT, Claude and any MCP-compatible coding client, so a call recording can drive CRM updates, billing entries and project checks without manual re-entry. Plaud has announced that its meeting recordings can now be connected to ChatGPT and Claude in a single click.

Plaud has announced that its meeting recordings can now be connected to ChatGPT and Claude in a single click. In a post on its own news blog, the company says that while Plaud already turns conversations into actionable insights and makes it easy to search across meeting context, many workflows still live inside tools like ChatGPT and Claude, so the two are now linked directly. Plaud describes the result as letting a user ask an assistant to act on a call and have the assistant read the full transcript to do it.
Plaud walks through three workflows it says the connection enables. For sales teams, the company says a user can ask Claude or ChatGPT to update a Salesforce record with the key outcomes of a call, including deal stage, objections raised and agreed next steps, and the assistant reads the full transcript and pushes structured deal notes into the CRM directly, with no manual data entry and no end-of-day catch-up; Plaud says that connecting HubSpot or Linear alongside Plaud lets the same prompt log the follow-on task in a project tracker at the same time. For legal and compliance professionals, Plaud says a user can ask Claude to pull a consultation conversation, cross-reference it against the matter in Clio, and extract billable time, client instructions and any deadlines mentioned, with the assistant reading the Plaud transcript for what was said and querying Clio for the matter history behind it, producing a structured summary with obligations flagged and time entries ready to log. For operations teams, Plaud says a user can ask Claude to compare the last four weekly meeting recordings against an Asana project board and flag any decisions or committed tasks that have not been logged, with the assistant reading across every matching Plaud transcript and checking them against live project data to surface the gaps between what the team agreed and what the tracker reflects.
On setup, Plaud says Plaud is now an official connector in Claude, available in both Claude Web and Claude Desktop, and gives three steps: open Claude and go to Customize, then Connectors; search for Plaud Web MCP and click Connect; and authorize with a Plaud account. The company says that once connected, Claude can pull up the specific recording a user asks about and combine that context with other connected tools such as a CRM, project tracker or BI dashboard to update, analyze and act in a single pass. Plaud says it is also live as an app inside ChatGPT with the same one-click simplicity: go to chatgpt.com, click Apps in the left sidebar and search for Plaud, then click Connect and sign in with a Plaud account, after which a user can ask ChatGPT about any recording by date, topic, participant or keyword with no technical setup required.
Plaud says both connectors take under two minutes to set up, with no code, no API keys and no IT ticket, and that recordings are only ever pulled up when the user asks. For users who prefer a different assistant, the company says Claude and ChatGPT are the fastest way in but that Plaud connects to Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Zed, Codex or any other MCP-compatible client as well, via a single installer command, with full setup steps for every supported client documented at docs.plaud.ai/plaud-mcp-cli/mcp.
Plaud closes by framing the release around the value of a captured conversation. The company says users already do the hard part by showing up, having the conversation and capturing it with Plaud, and that Plaud MCP is meant to make sure that work does not stop paying off the moment the call ends. Plaud says one click connects Claude or ChatGPT to a user's recordings, and that every meeting becomes the input for the next CRM update, compliance brief or project gap analysis. The post carries a disclaimer stating that references to Claude, ChatGPT and associated logos are used solely to identify compatibility with the Plaud product and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation by Anthropic or OpenAI.
