Plaud Splits Ask Plaud Into Chat and Work, and Lets Its Agent Build Documents From Your Meetings

The AI note-taking brand says its recordings now feed two assistants: one that answers questions instantly, and one that plans a task, runs it and delivers a finished file with every claim linked back to the moment it came from. Plaud has announced a rebuild of its software layer under the name Plaud Intelligence, published on the company's own news blog.

Plaud has announced a rebuild of its software layer under the name Plaud Intelligence, published on the company's own news blog. The company says the update splits its Ask Plaud assistant into two modes. Chat, according to Plaud, is for quick answers: ask what was decided in a meeting, search across a library, or find every time a topic came up, and Chat reads the recordings and replies directly. Plaud says Chat is instant and does not use Plaud Credits. Work, the company says, is for tasks: give the Plaud Agent something to do in plain language and it plans the steps, executes them and delivers a finished result rather than a starting point. Plaud says Work is what runs Routines, uses Skills, generates Artifacts and sends to Slack, Notion, a calendar and more, and that Work uses Plaud Credits.

Plaud describes the rest of the update as a set of additions around that agent. Routines, the company says, replace AutoFlow, which it says automated only the transcription and summary workflow; now a Routine can automate any Agent task, set in plain language and triggered by time, by event or by keyword, with the user reviewing the output. On storage, Plaud says recordings used to sit in a flat list of folders and are now organised by time and event, so finding a conversation takes seconds, and that asking the Agent inside a folder makes it read only what is in that folder for scoped results. The company also says it has added Memory, where a user tells the Agent their role, working style and preferences and that context carries forward, with everything stored visible and editable or removable at any time.

The most concrete new output is Artifacts. Plaud says the Agent produces finished documents from conversations: PDFs, slide decks (PPT), Word files (DOC), Markdown and HTML. The company says every claim in the document links back to the exact moment in the transcript it came from. Plaud also says Connectors now reach Slack, Notion, Google Calendar, Linear and more, letting the Agent draw on context from connected tools and deliver outputs to them, with the user's confirmation required before anything is sent or posted, and that Zapier extends the list to additional third-party apps. Skills, according to Plaud, are reusable Agent playbooks that define how a task should be handled and are followed with consistent structure, tone and format; the company says a Skill can be created by uploading a document, having a conversation with the Agent, filling a form or distilling one from a past Artifact in a single tap, and that the Skill Community library and curated Skill Suites for legal, medical, sales and consulting work can be installed in one tap.

Plaud says the parts users already rely on are unchanged: recording works as it always has, transcription is as reliable, and the AI summary still gives a full picture of every conversation. The company says Plaud Credits power Ask Plaud in Work, and that generating Artifacts, running Routines, using Connectors and re-summarising recordings all consume Credits while Chat does not. Plaud says every existing user receives a one-time gift of Plaud Credits when they update, valid for three months, with no redemption code needed, and that the balance is visible in the Plaud Mobile App and on Plaud Web at any time.

On rollout, Plaud says the new Plaud Intelligence is arriving in phases and that users should check for an update in the App Store or Google Play to get started. The post also points readers to the Plaud Intelligence product page for the full product overview, and closes by listing the recorder lineup the software sits on top of: the Note Pro at 0.12 inches thin with a 5 metre pickup and 30 hours of recording, the NotePin S as a lanyard, wristband, clip or pin weighing 0.61 ounces with 20 hours of recording and 64GB of storage, and the Note with dual-mode recording, 0.12 inches thin, 30 hours of recording and 64GB of storage.
