Humanoid robots usually come with six-figure price tags or no price at all. Unitree lists its G1 from $13.5K, which makes it the most accessible full humanoid for labs, developers and well-funded hobbyists.
Depending on configuration, G1 uses between 23 and 43 joint motors with an unusually large range of movement. An optional three-fingered Dex3-1 hand, which can add tactile sensor arrays, uses force-position hybrid control to grip objects precisely.
Unitree says the robot's motion is driven by imitation and reinforcement learning, and it is building UnifoLM, a unified robot large model, to push its intelligence further.
G1 is not a chore robot yet. It is the developer platform on which many of the household skills promised by 1X and Figure will be practiced.
