Robot dogs have moved from viral clips to products you can order, and Unitree's Go2 starts at $1,600.

Its standard sensor is Unitree's own L2 4D LiDAR, with a 360-by-96-degree hemispherical view and a minimum detection distance of 0.05m, which the company says upgrades recognition by 200%. With the app, owners can build a point-cloud map of an area.

Through large-scale AI simulation, Go2 has learned gaits such as walking upside down, recovering from a roll-over and climbing obstacles. A Rage Mode pushes the joint motors for faster speed and sharper steering on gravel and slopes, and regular over-the-air updates keep adding skills.

Go2 also has a celebrity résumé: at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, one carried discus and javelin equipment across the field.
