For the first time, CES visitors may be able to ride the keynote. Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana will speak at 6:30 p.m. PT the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2027, at the Venetian's Palazzo Ballroom, and the company just opened rides to the public in Las Vegas, which makes the city its 15th U.S. market.
According to CTA, Waymo's autonomous vehicles now serve more than half a million trips every week. Mawakana is expected to cover how the company keeps its safety bar high while expanding internationally and evolving its fleet. Waymo's booth, 3741, sits in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from Jan. 6 to 9.
"CES is where the world experiences what's next, and with Waymo, you can do more than imagine the future of mobility, you can hail it," Mawakana said.
For a show that has spent a decade promising self-driving cars, an attendee ride from the hotel to the convention center would be a fitting milestone.
