GMKtec EVO-T2 Puts 180 TOPS of Local AI Compute on the Desktop and Runs 70B Models Without the Cloud
The second-generation desktop AI supercomputing center pairs Intel Panther Lake processors with Phison aiDAPTIV+ AI SSD storage and ships with the GMKtec Claw AI environment pre-installed. 8nm-class) process technology and powered by flagship processors: the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H and the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H.

GMKtec has introduced the EVO-T2 Series, which it describes as a second-generation desktop AI supercomputing center built to move large AI workloads from the cloud onto the desk. In a post on its own news page, the company says the series combines up to 180 TOPS of local AI performance with integration to its GMKtec Claw AI environment and hardware it calls cutting-edge, and that it redefines what personal and business AI computing can be. GMKtec frames the pitch as an answer to rising AI costs: the company asks whether AI bills have spiraled out of control and says running cloud-based tools has left users with shocking daily expenses and a dependency on cloud infrastructure.
At the center of the EVO-T2 Series, according to GMKtec, is the latest Intel Panther Lake platform, built on what the company calls advanced 18A (1.8nm-class) process technology and powered by flagship processors: the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H and the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H. GMKtec says the combination with Phison aiDAPTIV+ AI SSD technology unlocks the full potential of 180 TOPS of local AI compute, enabling one-click deployment of 70B-parameter large language models, seamless local AI inference and processing, and scalable performance for individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises alike.
GMKtec says the EVO-T2 Series is more than powerful, calling it transformative, because moving AI workloads entirely on-device eliminates cloud dependency and redefines privacy, performance and usability. The company lists three properties it says follow from that: a one-click deployment toolkit that lets users fully activate GMKtec Claw locally with no cloud required and run large-scale models including 70B parameter LLMs; 100 percent data privacy, with all AI computation, data processing and model inference happening locally so sensitive business data and personal information never leave the device; and millisecond-level responsiveness, which GMKtec attributes to Intel advanced NPU plus GPU heterogeneous acceleration with no network lag and no bottlenecks.
The company also lays out the scenarios it says the series targets. GMKtec lists AI multimodal creation such as local AI image generation, real-time video enhancement, intelligent content creation and copywriting, plus faster workflows for video editing and 3D modeling; an AI productivity assistant that automates emails, reports and document reviews, generates meeting summaries and schedules, and enables real-time multilingual translation; a private AI knowledge base built with aiDAPTIV+ that supports natural language search across massive datasets and multi-user concurrent access without lag; AI-enhanced entertainment with AI-optimized gaming performance and visuals, support for XeSS 3.0 AI frame generation, and smart voice interaction and content recommendations; and local AI deployment for small and medium-sized enterprises spanning smart manufacturing analytics, retail traffic insights, AI-powered education and tutoring, and preliminary medical imaging analysis. GMKtec says all of this is powered by a single compact device, its dedicated AI supercomputing center.
GMKtec describes the EVO-T2 Series as marking a fundamental shift from cloud reliance to local AI autonomy, from single-purpose computing to full-scenario intelligence, and from high-cost infrastructure to accessible AI supercomputing. The company says that with its 1.8nm-class flagship processor, 180 TOPS of local compute and deep integration with GMKtec Claw, the series redefines the core value of desktop computing. On availability, GMKtec says the EVO-T2 Series officially launched on March 30 through the GMKtec store, and it closes by calling 180 TOPS performance with GMKtec Claw ready out of the box the next-generation desktop AI supercomputing flagship.
